A new design of a multiband microstrip patch antenna using slots in the as well defected ground structures (DGS) implemented plane is proposed. Multi resonance response was obtained by etching DGS shapes Traditional operates at 5.2 GHz, which common frequency for Internet Things (IoT) applications. The novel outcome this work compact that resonates three bands, viz. 2.42, 5.22 and 5.92 GHz. Different were used to improve performance different resonances. inset feeding technique impedance matching. Rogers RO3003 substrate 3 relative dielectric constant, 0.0013 loss tangent, 1.5 mm thickness build antenna. designed simulated HFSS software. good consistency between simulations measurements confirmed antenna's ability benefits IoT applications frequencies.
